Addendum and Corrigendum of Syllabus in respect of Subjects in English(Grad), English(PG), Philosophy(PG). Agriculture(PG), Life Science(Grad) and Biological Science(PG)
1. In respect of Subject English(Grad):
(a) In the section Short Story and Essay, Short Story written by William Somerest Maugham should be read as 'The Lotus Eater' in place of 'The Lotos Eater'.
2. In respect of Subject English(PG):
(a) In the section Short Story and Essay, Short Story written by William Somerest Maugham should be read as 'The Lotus Eater' in place of 'The Lotos Eater'.
3. In respect of Subject Philosophy(PG):
(a) In the section Group-E, the headline should be read as "SOCIAL AND POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY" instead of "LOGIC".
(b) In the section Group-F, the headline should be read as "LOGIC" should be read as "SOCIAL AND POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY".
4. In respect of Subject Agriculture(PG): (a) The following paragraph should be included
Genetics & Plant Breeding
Definition of Genetics, Cell Division, Mendal's law, Heredity. Aims and objectives of Plant Breeding,
Types of reproduction methods, Plant Breeding techniques.
5. In respect of Subject Life Science(Grad):
(a) In the section BOTANY following corrections to be made :-
Module - D
3. Fungi: "Economics importance" should be read as "Economic importance".
5. "GYMONSPERMS &..." should be read as "GYMNOSPERMS & ...". Module - G
"TAXNOMY" should be read as "TAXONOMY".
"Leguminosae (Fabaeae)" to be "Leguminosae (Fabaceae)".
Module - I
(i) Absorption: "Water and sales" should be read as "Water and salts".
(ii) Photosynthesis: "Phytosynthetic pigments" should be read as "Photosynthetic pigments”.
6. In respect of Subject Biological Science(PG):
(a) In the section BOTANY following corrections to be made :- Module - B
"Root-steam transition" should be read as "Root-stem transition".
Module - C
"Briosphere reserve" should be read as "Biosphere reserve".
Module - D
4. Gymnosperm and angiosperm: "cycas and pixus" should be read as "Cycas and Pinus". Module -- F
"tamonomic studies" should be read as "taxonomic studies"
"Nymphaeacea" should be read as "Nymphaeaceae"
"poaceae (Graminee)" should be read as "Poaceae (Gramineae)" "Ochidaceae" should be read as "Orchidaceae".
Module - H
Sub-section numbering to be started from (a), not (b) as in present form.
(f) "Kreb's cycle" should be read as "Krebs cycle".
(g) "cytokinnis" should be read as "cytokinins" and "abscistic acid" should be read as "abscisic acid".
Module - K
"PHARMACOGNOZY" should be read as "PHARMACOGNOSY".
